Sony HVR-Z1 HDV/DVCAM/DV camcorder in travel case with AC pwr & 2x Li-ion High Capacity batteries This camera is capable of shooting in both standard PAL DV as well as HDV 1080i Standard. The HVR-Z1E offers users an affordable migration path from Standard Definition whilst retaining the popular DVCAM benefits such as ease of use and i.LINK (IEEE1394) connectivity. In addition to its compact size, the HVRZ1E boasts a number of features over consumer-oriented products making it ideal for the professional user.
Features:
Two XLR sockets on the side of the camera to take professional microphones, plus two rotary audio controls on the back - the FX1 model does not have these, but the Z1 does!
Benefits:
The HDV video format records High Definition pictures onto a standard miniDV or DVCAM tape. The Z1 records 1080 lines of resolution. However, not many of us have a high definition TV to watch these pictures, so the camera also has an inbuilt down-converter. This takes the HDV signal and converts it into an SD signal we can all watch with our current TVs.
