Our History
Mad Australia Productions is a video production house with a history of quality film work and unparalleled integrity.
The company started life as Young Australia Productions and morphed into MAD Australia when it came under the managership of CEO Craig Douglas. The previous CEO of Young Australia Productions, Mr Dale Ross, is now the Producer.
The company performs all the traditional tasks of a production house including script ad plot development and writing, auditioning, casting, rehearsing, shooting, editing, and distribution as well as undertaking a series of highly innovative projects designed to separate the organisation from a run-of-the-mill production house.
MAD has been for a number of years, the production house of choice for some of the biggest Councils in SA, and has recently expanded its horizons by linking with Melbourne and California-based production houses to give the company not only an Australia-wide appeal, but an international element as well.
The company's motto of "Shoot first - Ask later" is a fun way of conveying a deadly serious message, that MAD is about 'Doing' rather than just 'Talking about doing'. When faced with a challenging concept for development, Mad's 'mad' approach is to devise a strategy, think tank it practically, and present the client with the finished result.
