Congratulations to our winners of the 2008 YAP Awards!


The 2008 YAP Awards presentation was held at the Mercury Cinema on Saturday 16th August. It was an exciting evening with all the glamour and glitz that goes with film festivals. The night saw 12 filmmakers awarded with trophies and 50 filmmakers awarded certificates.

More than 300 participants, 70 people short-listed for the finals, and a total of 50 grand finalists, the YAP Awards Presentation night was a huge success!

The standard of entries was impressive and we are now proud to announce the winners for the 2008 YAP Awards.

Some of the most important things we keep in mind when judging films/work submitted are:

  • Quality and completeness of story or concept.
  • Quality of presentation of that story or concept.
  • Style and innovation.
