Agricultural Policy
Quad Bikes & OPDs
The solution to the issue is relatively simple.
Rescind the regulation which means the compulsory angle ceases.
Doing so brings the most respected global manufacturers back to Australia.
Adopt a national approach based on education, training and as AGFORCE suggests, licensing of riders on quad bikes.
Build a partnership with manufacturers and dealerships, thereby supporting dealers to fit Operator Protection Devices (OPDs) to any quad bike. This increases revenue to rural and regional dealers.
Develop a base line engineering specification for OPDs in Australia. They simply cannot be made by just anyone.
